Much that is perfectly lawful in Canada is questionable or banned in the US, so what little is available there is not only more expensive but subject to stricter verification procedures (ie: they 'phone your main number AT WORK to see if you are who you say you are and not LE or something)

I'm glad that I never travel to or through the US...
