You can now listen to Howard Stern on the internet as Sirius is now streaming both stations. You have to be a subscriber to get it all the time, but they will give you a three day freebie. www.sirius.com
You have to have a subscription to get it full time. The three day thing won't go on forever.tersey said:Sirius Canada can't be happy about that.
tersey said:The reason that Sirius got Stern is because their subscriptions were not as anticipated because many potential clients were going onto the grey market to get the U.S. feed.
Now that Stern is available on the internet (which many people have) what's the incentive to purchase a $150 Sportster receiver an inscription fee and a daily subscription fee?
I can just pay for it on the internet now and get it at home and while I'm travelling on the laptop.
I have known people who have renewed the 3 day trial every 3 days to keep listening. Not sure if they are better at detecting.. but my own take is if you are that much of a cheapskate... knock yourself out.MixedNuts said:You cannot subscribe to Sirius until you activate a specific radio unit. The internet stream is a bonus feature, not an alternative to owning a Sirius radio.
And to those of you interested, I've been a subscriber of Sirius since spring of last year, and I haven't missed regular radio. I highly recommend it - especially for Howard, 1st Wave, Totally '70s & Big '80s stations.
papasmerf, you think that because you don't have Sirius. That's the perception that the media wants you to think. Howard frequently says on his show that he's pleased with the amount of fans that have followed him to Sirius in so little time. There is no deadline for subscription, and the demand for Sirius is greater than the availability of its radios in the States. Truth is, his audience is constantly growing and the gap between Sirius and XM subscribers is narrowing. It's not hard to believe that after a year, Sirius will be the leader in satellite radio.papasmerf said:And think howard was suprised he did not get all his listeners to pay to listen to him
I hope he is hacked live
Just to play devil's advocate here, what's Howard gonna say "wow, i didn't get all the listeners i expected to, come on guys, sign up! please!" ???MixedNuts said:Howard frequently says on his show that he's pleased with the amount of fans that have followed him to Sirius in so little time..
