How to stop chrome from filling a website?

Every time I put a S in the chrome bar it gives me this website. soccer-goalshd.blogspot.com/2022/11/more-goals-20112022.html

I do look for soccer sites but I don't remember going to this site and now it won't go away. I tried the clear browsing data, cookies etc. But it keeps coming back

is that link something you have bookmarked ? Or is it a random suggestion ? If the former, you can remove the bookmark .

did you visit the link before ? If so , cleaning your browser history should do the trick.

No I don't remember bookmarking, something I may have visited. I'll try clearing the browsing and see what happens. Thank you

I am assuming PC not cell phone app.

GO the folder location where Chrome stores everything.
For me it is

"C:\Users\w10\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache\Cache_Data"
or
"C:\Users\w10\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Code Cache\js"

DELETE everything.
I think there is a folder where history is saved and suggestions. DO an internet search to which folder it is.

Then reboot.
Let us know.

Can't you simply click the three dots top right and go down to 'delete browsing data' and doesn't that work?
