how to avoid booking an appointment with someone you know personally?

so I recently discovered someone I know from years ago works as an escort in Toronto; not someone I was or am really close to, but we have several mutual friends... anyway, I guess it got me thinking about seeing someone and it ends up being someone I know. I was wondering how others avoid this type of thing from happening and short of only seeing women that show their full face in ads/website, what are some suggestions?

I would be very uncomfortable (I imagine she would as well) having an appointment only to show up and it's someone I know! I know the chances are slim, but my recent discovery really got me thinking about this.

If you aren't married or close to it, there's little drawback IMO. If she's hot you've probably thought about it before so that's a plus.

If you ARE married, just pray she knows you and not the SO independently.

You can be seen driving or walking somewhere you have no business being, or get caught in a hotel lobby...so many things COULD happen, this one I wouldn't worry about all that much
