So she shot at him one time, missed and he's claiming psychological harm of some kind? Not exactly Canadian Forces material...

Would she be justified in tazing they guy? Otherwise, I'm not sure what she could do besides let him go. Probably don't want to get into a physical scuffle as a woman against a man.

Poor guy was just turning his life around while driving impaired and running away from the police.
I'm sure this isnt the last time that this upstanding citizen will be in the news.

Couple of things that boggle my mind about all this - First, why did it take four years to get the tribunal? That seems fairly excessive. What was she doing in the meantime? Paid suspension? Placed at a desk?

Second, is she that bad of a shot that she missed a dude who was maybe 15 or she feet away? I know it isn't easy hitting a target with a handgun, but this seems like very poor marksmanship. And, if she wasn't trying to hit him, was it a warning shot?

Either way, discharging your firearm like this should be a major investigation. I don't understand how they can wait so long to hold her accountable for this. Would it be faster if she hit him?

So you are ok with shooting people like this in the back then? Its ok to just execute them extrajudicially. Just to be clear this is what you support?

If she hit him the SIU would get involved, but if its ONLY attempted murder and no one is actually injured physically the SIU at the time did not get involved. Legislation as since been amended. The police, however, should have charged her with attempted murder and illegal use of a fire arm. But since the Toronto Police is a corrupt organization they chose to white wash the incident and allow this crazy cop to roam the streets fully armed looking for her next victim when she has another bad day.

Cops, not necessarily Canadian cops, can be trigger happy. Do y'all remember the Florida police opened fired on a UPS truck where the driver was held hostage? They killed four people, the drive, the jewel thieves and a bystander. They didn't attempt to negotiate or wait these guys out. It appears that many American cops shoot first, ask questions later. That's one reason why so many unarmed people are killed.

Here's a link to the Florida shooting:

Calm down, buddy. Holy fuck
So you're saying we should let criminals go? How do you know he was traceable through that car?
She should have tazed his ass instead of firing her gun.

Honestly I wouldnt lose any sleep if he caught a couple rounds to the back. Seems to be a better ending then him one day plowing into a family and killing them

Really what are the chances it was also a stolen car? Don't be rediculous. How hard is it to trace someone from car. What about the risk of missing (which she did) and killing some bystander.?

Ahh would you be also ok with the millions spent in the lawsuit? Are you ok with the 400K she got for sitting on her dumb ass paid for by tax payers while this idiocy worked it way through the process?

1. The car was stolen
2. He was impaired
3. He ran from police
4. She still should not have shot at him

Policing is complicated but given the times, the police officer should definitely not be shooting at an unarmed minority unless her life is in imminent danger.
