It wouldn't convince me to rush out and buy that brand immediately....
BUT it would keep me from channel surfing and maybe after many many repeats I might remember and try that brand. Thats why ads work.
My tolerance for a bad commercial is 1 repeat. My tolerance for a good commercial is probably 6-10 viewings before I surf or just change channels.
I could envision that commercial might keep my interest for dozens of viewings.
