This is the first I heard of it, but not surprised, but Uber would use customer's tips as part of the pay towards the delivery person and it would make the customer look like they gave a low tip.

That is a real eye opener but there is a simple solution, pick up your own food or better yet cook it yourself. I've never ordered anything threw these food delivery apps and don't miss them in the least. In my condo I see food delivery all the time and then I hear these same people wining that they're barely making it paycheck to paycheck, go figure

I only rarely (maybe 4 times a year) order delivery, but sometimes you want food delivered and not go out to pick it up. I try to choose restaurants that are not on the delivery apps, who do their own deliveries, but they are becoming few and far between, and will soon be non existent. Restaurants know that if they are not on Uber/ skip/ dash, they are losing business.

I do delivery maybe once a year and if that. I'll usually tip the guy cash if I have any on me. Otherwise I barely care to get most of these apps.
