How do you guys react to this?

Exchanged a few emails with a touring provider, all very professional and cordial, when asked how much was the consideration for an hour, response is "it will be X", the website gives no mention of rates in touring cities, hence my question. I then see an ad on the red board showing a noticeably lower rate...no mention of a special or anything...just "Y for 1 hour". I search back for previous posts and all visits have the Y rate.

My question is (rhetorical as it may be)...why was I quoted X in the first place over email? My reaction is to lose interest, but curious what others think. Does this happen a lot? First time I have ever experienced this.

I assume X was higher than Y. You have three choices:

1. Pay X and move on
2. Don't book her
3. Point out the difference between X and Y to her and see if she will negotiate.

Despite what people on here say, everything is negotiable. Ya I know, respect bla bla...it's a business. Deal with it.

Valid points T2S (other than the sucker...), weird thing is my first contact email is very clear that I am a member of cerb and I provided my handle (do not want to open that debate again...), so she technically knew I was a member.

I will probably not book anyway, since I do feel like I was played for a...well...what T2S said...

i would politely / jokingly inquire about Y. you are already thinking not seeing her anyways, the worst that can happen is she says no and sticks to X so you book someone else. however, she might then give you Y or even better.

Look at her pics again, and if the first carnal thought comes to mind, that you want to fuck her, and you're immediately very attracted. do it. If you immediately think about the money.. then I wouldn't bother...

I would contact her and just clarify. Perhaps she has an agent posting ads or another reason for the price difference. I've had it happen where old ads were being used and I didn't realize so my introduction email with prices didn't quite align. As soon as it was pointed out, I honoured the advertised rate. It isn't negotiating if she is advertising it, you as simply pointing out a discrepancy she may not realize is out there...

I once had the same situation with an SP and mentioned it to her. She said "well that was yesterday". I said Ok, I'll pass then. Some SPs change the rates on a daily basis based on how busy the business is.

Happened to me once, I just joked that I saw her lower rates on cerb and what gives. I ended up with an even better rate lol

It happened to me a couple of times too. Once, I called a SP for outcall, and she quoted "X", and that included my picking her up and driving her back home. Then I checked her ad later and saw her advertised outcall rate as "Y" ( apparently including her driver fees), but what bothers me is X > Y !

If you were clear about the fact that you were a member of the site in this xase Cerb, she should have offer you from the beginning the special rate she mentions on her adds.. Busy or not busy if you advertise a rate for an specific group of people you respect it and there is no thing as just giving ur higher rates and see if he would fall for it, and say something.. , doing that is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT mos or also lnown as a SCAM.. Sorry but that is dishonest.. I would have also lost interest.. It shows dishonesty from her part!

Seeing the ad was pretty much the buzzkill for me...I wanted to know if people thought I was over-reacting...sounds like no, the community would mostly pass also. Sure she still appeals to me physically...but I guess I need more than a pure physical attraction, I need to find them ethical and trustworthy, which I do not in this case.

I feel your pain. There are two things in this hobby I hate, hate, hate!

1. The thought that I might be overcharged and thus played for a sucker.
2. Cheap bastards who haggle over rates.

The situation you found yourself in is EXACTLY the point where these two things intersect in a pretty much unresolvable way. It's not an overreaction, it's just a natural reaction to an untenable conflict o' irkedness. Try someone else.

Saw a lady once, Jordan (aka Staysha at YSD). Appointment set, $200 for the Friday. I show up and she is no-where to be found, not answering her phone. On Monday she apologizes and offers $160 to make it up to me...says all services on the table because she felt bad...cim, cof, greek...etc. And, I quote "we are going to have the best wild time ever because I am so sorry for missing our time". I take her up on it and we make a date for Wed. Wednesday comes and I am stoked...freshly shaved, everywhere, and ready to go. I give her the envelope and she says it's not enough...show her the text and she says "that was for Monday, today is $200...$300 for greek and cim"....
The moral of this? Not as uncommon as one might think.

Alas...in the heat of the moment I think the wrong head does the thinking, I think that happens to most of us.

I'm with you jig...my situation did sour me on the hobby and have not seen anyone since I was almost played for a sucker. In the end that was it for me...I did more research, the provider is well reviewed, from as far back as 2008 on this board, tours here for a few days about once a month. All of her ads on the red board were for the lower rate, so it was not a "market test" of any kind...she was simply trying to play me for a sucker...blah. I got the sense that she comes to see regulars and the noobs like me try to get reeled in with an inflated rate.

She clearly knew I was a member of the other board since she had viewed my profile over there (which is a nice feature of the boards in general...)...anyway...pass...too bad since she is otherwise totally my type...a bit mature (30s), brunette...intelligent.
