How do you guys pay for this hobby without your family knowing?

So the reason I ask this is because I am in a situation where I need to find a income source to see sps. Problem is, I am 19 years old and still live with my parents who are really, really strict. To the point where any job that I do, they will be checking the transaction history of my bank accounts and CRA income taxes files like crazy. I thought about opening an account at different bank without them knowing then working. But the issue is with taxes, I am pretty sure you can't just erase tax file histories. So don't think I can just pay my income tax to CRA without them knowing. They will definitely see it so I thought about finding a cash job, like under the table. Is it worth it? I really don't want to be getting busted by CRA or getting into deep shit. So, does anyone know where to look for a cash job? I'm sure no employer is dumb enough to post a job mentioning "cash paid" without it looking sketchy.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you're either South or East Asian. If so you could get a job as a busboy at an Indian or Chinese restaurant. They'll be happy to pay you under the table, but you'll make less than minimum wage and they'll treat you like shit. The problem is that you'll need some way to explain your extended absences to your parents.

You're 19? , you're a grown ass adult!, your parents have no rights looking into your financial records.
Irrelevant. He lives at home rent free therefore he's under their thumb. He either does what they say or moves out. That brings me to this...
move out and open a separate bank account
This is easy for you guys to say as established adults. Have you seen rent prices and the youth unemployment rate these days? The only people who can afford to move out at 19 are hoes.

This. I clicked on this thread thinking that you’re a married man with a joint bank account. Just kindly explain to your parents that you’re a grown man and they have no business micromanaging your bank account.

Agree with everything said above. But you're 19 so get laid by friend(s) etc and save your money. At your age you don't need an SP. Surprises me that your mom & dad have such strict control/oversight of your money. As for side jobs, shoveling snow in the winter, cutting lawns, helping neighbours with odd jobs around their homes are all cash jobs.

I typically whip out my phone once I get into the room with her and facetime my folks saying "check what I'm about to do" then get down to business. I pay extra for this of course. We typically do family therapy sessions once a month too where they vent why I do what I do so I'm like why do you guys watch and rub one another? Checkmate!

Go stand outside a home depot and look for a guy in tattered work wear loading up fenceboards, drywall copper/plumbing pipes. Avoid roofing supplies... save that for when you have a criminal record under your belt... Approach said person and ask if they'd pay you cash as you learned their trade. Also wear work boots, and decent jeans. Its that easy

You raise a valid point about rent and unemployment. On that note, here’s your reminder - protect your money. Don’t waste it on unnecessary things or on what you can’t afford. Every dollar you save now gives you more freedom and security later. This is something your parents already know. At the end of the day they are trying to protect you from stupidity. If I had to guess you will enjoy screwing many hot girls which will leave you broke in a world, as you mentioned, that consists of high rent and unemployment.

Go clean peoples houses for cash if you're that desperate to get laid.

I also thought I was an adult at 19, until my tough brother gave me a reality check. I was still a kid. If anything a teen on training wheels.

When I was a kid I took a job to help re-roof a cottage on an outcropping of good old Northern Ontario rock, with no safety gear in sight. It was a one fall and you're done kinda gig. If I never have to carry shingles uphill, on uneven ground, from a boat again, it will be too soon.

At 19 I would be cultivating civilians, you have time latter for SP's and you save the money.
This. At 19, learn the reality of real relationships. Time enough for fantasy relationships later. And learn how to earn and save money for whatever good fortune the future may bring.

La la land
@sam87429 I have a co-worker that does this.
Landscape - he knows the owner weekends only
Banquet halls - wedding or what ever they do on the weekend. Kitchen help, The better looking guys are the servers, he does it sometime if they need help.

Now how you explain your time disappearing. You going out with friends - if you have any - and let them cover for you if they are willing, if your parents call them.

The other choice and I seen a lot now "intersection road panhandling".

Some posters suggested civilian gf. That money will be gone faster than Cola.

Well, it depends on the guy. If he is 300lb big and 5 ft short, the only civilians he can get are the ones he does not want. What can I say... Save your lunch money - you are allowed to eat outside, do you. If your allowed meal outside of the house comes from a mom-made lunchbox, you are screwed, and not in the way you wanted to.
