it is a slider style window, unsure of manufacturer (how do you find out the manufacturer and window style, if I knew I could you tube solution)

no tabs to pull on or latches to unsecure on screen

the window only allows half access to the screen as stoppers are installed on how far you can slide the window and stoppers are screwed in so tight they will not come out

window will not slide over stoppers when stoppers are pressed down, as I suspect they should, because window tab gets in the way ( no tab on screen)

I assume there are small leaf springs on the top of the screen so I applied pressure upwards with screwdriver assuming I could then push screen out but screen does not go up far enough to push screen out from the frame

is the proper method to pry screen out from the sides

I am afraid of damage if I force it

On sliders, the screen has to go up and pull the bottom to the inside. However, in most old models you have to take out all window panels before you are able to remove screen

this was my thought

I cannot get the window to slide clear of the screen so I may have to take the window out first

Some screen frames flex for removal.

I also thought this may be the case but I am afraid of damage if use force

the screen does seem flexible but I fear pushing the flex too hard as the corners remain rigid, although it is tempting to do so

I want to be sure

i will feel like an idiot if I break it

you know everything

On the road with Willy
google it
there are videos for just about everything.
When I do repairs on my car I check for videos for tips and specs.
Someone somewhere has done it.
When I redid the stairs to my rec room I watched several videos to get the rise and run right and how to lay it out. The originals were too steep and shallow stepped to be really comfortable and safe. Turned out great.

Ooooohhh! You want to take out the window-screen! Not the screen window at all. Too bad, demolition projects are often easier.

From your description, I'd suggest penetrating oil on those stuck stopper screws and WD40 spayed into the slide-tracks. Top tracks on sliders have been made twice as deep as the bottom to allow for insertion and removal since the pyramids. The trick is always how you get the things into position to lift into that top track.

I agree

so I have double pane slider windows then the screen on the outside

the inside ones came out by pushing them up and out of the track but the outside ones will not go up far enough to remove them

WTF

I can see no way to get them out:frusty:

Here
I think the answer is to leave the window alone and remove the house, instead.

I had to force windows over stopper then they came out by pushing up and in then I could take out screen by same up and in motion

removed stoppers as they are there to prevent window from opening wide so babies will not crawl out but otherwise they are a nuisance
