So I never posted (I keep lurking silently) but today, I just couldn't contain myself when I saw this thread...
I'm also a "SP" in another domain... boy, I had a bad week: 6 cancelled appointments! But those cancels were all from the clients, and I need to keep a smile otherwise they'll just go see someone else... But here in this thread, the SP is giving the bad treatment.
Idk but my business model is advanced booking only and all that is necessary is an email containing the requested appointment time to set up a visit. I email the night before to confirm and the visit rolls out without incident short of the sky falling in. Some guests have to plan and schedule well in advance in order to ensure they are available. The multiple emails and PMs are unnecessary most of the time unless it's to work out the details of the appointment...

Well, your clients are lucky then ! I got the same (or similar) treatment both for a "last minute booking" attempt, and for a 1-week-ahead type confirmation... from the same girl, 3 times in a row !?!?! (yeah, I know... she's been my obsession of the month). Then, she says something like "can I make it up to you?", I respond politely then I get the silent treatment... Why is it that the cutest girls seem to feel it's ok to bully us around like this?
So it seems I got the bad end of the stick and getting bullied in both domains...
Well, at least sometimes you get to know someone nice like it seems you are, or another real cutie like Peachy, the sweetest girl around, and very, VERY cute too, who much prefers booking ahead... well, I NEVER HAD a SINGLE GLITCH in booking with her, ahead and sometimes even same day!!!, and she's a cute indy and a VERY REAL sweetheart... (best I've seen indeed !)
After my week and that 3rd cancel on Wednesday, I feel like total crap... so this thread helps. And since I need some TLC, I'll book Peachy as soon as she's back!
