How cold weather affects availability and hobbying

Hi, for those who have experience hobbying in the winter, in addition to heavy snow, does cold weather like today (yellow warning, Jan 31) tend to lead to cancellations (by agencies, incall/outcall)? And a related follow-up question: Does the cold weather also make it more difficult (or maybe unsafe) to go to appointments? I'm wondering how long it's safe to wait outside at an incall location in the cold before you're able to enter the building, and also how much extra time you plan for driving/rideshare/transit. Thank you in advance!

Medium or heavy snow shuts my activities down completely, cold temperatures not so much unless maybe we are at -35 wind-chill or something like that, but this is rare.
Tried a "little trick" during a recent very cold night, with an appointment that started 45 mins later than scheduled: didn't want to to hang around too much in the lobby of the incall building, so found a a nice little "corner" in a building lobby next door and hung around there to keep warm! This was DT so building was busy of course, so busy that no one really paid much attention to me. (y)

Funny story: as I am standing there Uber driver pulled into the entrance, helped this lady unload groceries, one or two glass bottles shattered into pieces on the pavement! Driver apologized and took off, lady called for assistance, guy showed up in shorts/t-shirt/home slippers in -20 degrees evening! LOL Wow, was about to offer the guy my coat 🥶

I usually don't book an appointment that far in advance. So will check the forecast for storms. It matters to me as I have 45min hwy drive in to my nearest incall location and don't want to take a chance on a fender bender or delayed traffic due to plows
Very cold I have found myself not booking at all the because of the really cold nights. I have not cancelled yet because I usually book the day of.
If it's cold and am at a location I'll now stay in the heated car or duck into a coffee shop that's close by. And then head to the lobby once the booker gives the green light

Thanks all for your responses. As someone taking public transit or a ride share, I am realizing how important it is for there to be a warm place to wait before the appointment. So a hotel with a lobby, or a place near a grocery store or coffee shop looks like a safer option compared to a townhome or condo without any indoor shelter nearby. At least I think these will be important for Feb 6 to 9 (Friday to Monday). Looks like Feb 7, Saturday, will feel like -31 C with windchill factored in. Stay warm everyone! 🪵🔥

Yes, I take public transit everywhere. The parlour I go to is about a 20/25-minute walk, about a couple of kilometers. I walk it, but on a couple of occasions if the timings work, I take a bus. Of course, when I walk it, I am... quite cold by the time I reach and it feels nice to be enveloped in a hug by the lady, who is of course a lot warmer... ha ha.

Stay safe and warm... And hey, the weather's finally getting warmer now.

For some reason this winter I've been extra horny and needing release so I've been seeing a regular wayyyy more often than I probably should finance-wise but it is what it is...
