I know diddly about puters and always go into a major funk when I have to change or upgrade. My latest panic involves my wanting to talk to guys on Russian boards.

Of course, I need to write in Russian to do this. But I have no idea how to obtain and load up the font and make the switch. Do I need to load separate extra fonts for my printers too? And where could I buy an extra keyboard with the cyrillic keys marked out?

Any help/ suggestions appreciated.

Spasiba, droozhiah!

in IE go into VIEW >> ENCODING >> and select "Cyrillic"

THen in the Control Panel >> Regional & Languages >> Languages >> Details - you will have to select the appropriate language to add

after that is done you can switch back and forth between an English and Russian keyboad... you just have to figure out where all the symbols and letters are!!

Aimless: Nice link, there are an awful lot of web translators out there, but I really like this one and it passed the English/German translation test and didn't give me senseless gobbleygook!

It is far from perfect

I typed in "Go fuck yourself!"

and it gave me

"Ïîéäèòå òðàõàþò ñåáÿ!"

Which I translated to German

"Gehen Sie trahajut sich!"

and finally back to English

"Go trahajut to yourselves!"

I am not impressed with this translation site

again

I started in English with

"I am a horny motherf*cker!"

and in German

"Ich bin ein horniger Scheißkerl"

to Russian

"Я - рогатый чертов парень"

to Spanish

"Mí - cornudo chertov el muchacho"

back to English

"Me - cuckold chertov the boy"

I would not recommend this site to anyone

I'm pretty impressed too. Babelfish has no idea what òðàõàþò means! Or about ìèíåò and a bunch of other useful ñëîâà!! An î÷åíú õîðîøî translator.

I picked up a demo prog at www.brama.com which allows me to flip back and fore between Russ and English. But the full prog costs 30 USD and it doesn't seem to work in Notepad - although ïðèàòíèé in Word, PSPro and browsers.
