Hotmail No Mail

Yesterday, I know of two emails sent to me, that went into a blavck hole and never arrived. Has that happened to anyone else.

A mail service is useless if neither the sender or the receiver is notified of mail disappearing.

You will get it eventually, I have seen hotmail take up to 36 hours to deliver mail.

I somehow doubt that I will get it later, because I received an email sent from one of the same senders today. (that is how I found out the one from yesterday had gone awol).

Actually you may still get it. I got one from a friend five days after it was sent, and in the interim, he and I traded many other emails that got through.

5 days! That's crazy. What if it's something important?

Emails dissappear all the time with hotmail. All important email should be sent through more reliable providers. If you are registered with Rogers, they offer an email account don't they?

Kind of along the same lines, I read somewhere that a small percentage of all E mails sent never arrive, they just fall into that Black Hole that was mentioned previously and never arrive at all.

Hotmail is always farting around with their filtering system. Sometimes mail get redirected to your junkmail folder and other times it just vanishes - *POOF*

The real problem becomes you don't know what mail you are missing because it never gets to you. If it's something you are expecting or from someone you are in regular twoway communication with, you *may* eventually figure out that one or more emails have gone astray, but if it's a note from someone you don't correspond with often, you'll never know it's missing and they'll be wondering why you don't reply.

Bottom line.. hotmail sucks. Use anything else but.

I find it is even happening with men that are using Yahoo too. I can get an e mail a few days later and the men will say they are still waiting for a reply and meanwhile I check and have sent them mail sometimes even several times. Yet there are several mailings I send out with no problems. I know it is not from my side as I am using Rogers.
