Hotels that take cash

Which hotels are hobby-friendly and take providers that pay in cash (don't have credit cards)? Not as many as there used to be. Thanks.

Wouldn't some hotels take a debit card with an amount held on the card for security?

All hotels are going to require some card to put a hold on for security/ incidentals. I believe a debit card will suffice (assuming you have enough cash in the account! Lol). If you’d rather pay in cash, so transaction doesn’t show up on statement, you can do so, using the card for security, then pay with cash on checkout. (Tho check to see if a hold will show up on your statement to be sure).

For the vast majority of hotels, store bought prepaid credit cards are not accepted.

I am sure there are a few who do accept them, but it is best to call ahead and inquire first.
