Should Burke sign Hossa come July 1st? He did score 40 goals this past season but as we know he did sqwat in the playoffs.

Oh no. Bad karma. He lost with Pittsburg and then he lost again with Detroit.
Toronto already has Vernon "0 for 4" Wells, that is more than enough for one town.

ahh... Hossa will still be a contender seeker... I heard San Jose... and Vancouver. Keep in mind... Hossa wants a 'nice' coach. He's a Tom Renney kinda 'needy' player.

Hossa?
Overpriced, no heart, and overrated.
Perfect fit for the Maple Laughs.

Maybe he will try and go back to the Pens...LOL. I'm pretty sure that they would not take him back.

It's funny how it turned out for Hossa and he got burned but if Detroit won the Cup, I think that there would be many more Leaf supporters that would probably want this to happen.

He did have a terrible time in the playoffs but it wasn't for a lack of trying.

Hossa IMHO did absolutely nothing in the playoffs. He was non-existent.

However if JFJ was still the leafs GM he would probably sign Hossa to a 5 year no-trade contract similar to the Muskoka five:) !

I did not vote in this poll because I did not agree with any of the four options listed.

Hossa wants to win a cup, and he most likely will resign with Detroit to get it. There's no way he's going back to Pittsburgh.

And he was decent in the playoffs last year playing with Crosby, and this year he played alright until the final's started.

Even if they sign him, it will not get them into the playoffs. Bottom line, they will suck for years to come. Won't make the playoffs for at least the next 2 or 3 years.

Leafs won't make the playoffs anyway. So why should that matter?

Detroit is smart to sign top talent European players because of the fact that they will for the most part, play for more modest $ amounts... therefore you can build a stronger talented team. Pittsburgh has been doing the same, though to a lesser degree...

It's hard to believe Sheldon Souray makes almost the same as Henrik Zetterberg and Ed Jovanovski makes the same as Pavel Datsyuk.

Hossa will not be playing for the Leafs anytime soon, he will only jump to contenders until he (if ever) wins a cup.
Not sure contending teams will want the "Hossa Curse". LOL.
