I have to laugh at the boilerplate phrases that crop up from time to time on Locanto and LL - always accompanied by some enticing photos snatched off the web, and promising services to the moon and back. Like: "I'm honest and sincere lady you ever want to meet." Or, typically "I am alone in my home, husband gone on business." Apart from being gramatically lame, the first carries two messages: she's not honest; and she's not sincere. Oh yes, and by the way... she's not even there! I am sure all these ads originate from a single scamming source: probably a boiler room in Nigeria or Uganda, where some young asshole sits swatting away malarial mosquitoes while finding out how many unwary Canadians he can snare with this ludicrous drivel.
Honest? And sincere! Hahaha

Or how about the email scams non stop, I get phone calls as well, I have been straight up rude, insulting, told them off worse than a miserable ex wife, they still call. Email’s with sometimes way too young girls “I Ukrainian wish to be a relationship on you love long meaningful, shower together…. Please respond or check my profile…. I can’t believe people fall for it! Alas it continues because it must work to some extent LL has me me a web detective lol
It's very, very dangerous to engage with them at all. I know; I have a family member who was a victim of a disastrous scam. They're professionals and scamming is what they do, all day, every day. If I don't recognize a number, I immediately block it. Sometimes that works, sometimes they create new numbers and keep calling. Unfortunately, in Canada we are paying a price for having mobile devices that offer criminals an easy way to prospect for their victims.
