The Office is not yours
Corporate environments belong to the corporation. As such, they are completely within their rights to limit any access they deem inappropriate or to monitor the pages and content you surf (and, by the way, read any and all of your e-mail if they so desire).
It's no good to complain about this reality or to slam corporations for exercising their rights. If you want some geek in the IT department to know that you are a TERB member and use the site from the office (he/she may even be able to read your posts or determine your handle), by all means, keep using it at work. As well, many of you signed some type of appropriate use policy or accepted a standard of behaviour by default when you joined your company. In some environments, breach of this policy is grounds for dismissal. Is TERB really that important that you would expose yourself to that risk?
The other thing to consider is that some corporate networks are set up in such a way that all external browsing is performed under a single, fixed, IP address. Consider this interesting point as well before logging in.
My life on TERB is none of my employer's business. On the other hand, my employer does not give me internet access so that I can enhance my private and social life.
It seems fair, therefore, that I keep most of my personal browsing to my personal time (and equipment).
Zog.
