Well Im sitting here waiting for Rogers to show up. They said they will be here between 8-11. Any bets on actual arrival time? I know in the past their time frame means very little as far as accuracy goes. Has it changed at all or is my day a complete write off? I was planning on heading to the trinity later if they have come by in the window they "promised"

lol, totally. Im half way through the window and starting to wonder. Its all about the "am I going to be able to make it to a SC in time?" question which makes the tease even more painful

...here. Mind you, I'm not impressed, given that the window is HOURS wide, but yeah...always on time.

12 i could live with. Still gives me time to get out to the west end and hit some clubs. 40 mins to go. I assume its not like Pizza Pizza and its free if not in the time window?

I would not count on them showing up by noon necessarily, more like any time between 9-5pm.

Dave just left. Cool guy, very nice and friendly. Kiarra, id say he was cute if my arm was twisted. Young dude, He had a lot of work to do as I live in an old neighbourhood and there was no cable coming into my house. I had satelitte before. Im going to call and give that dude a good review. People only seem to call and complain. This guy was a good rep for Rogers. HD looks sweet. Ok Mojo focus...time to shit shower and shave, head out to a SC then my crappy work party then MAYBE the terb party if time and weather allows. BUH BYE

You do know that you can get free HD signals—the same ones Rogers charges you for—off the air, don't you.

a) The signal quality is not consistent amongst the channels: rock solid for some, spotty for others. How many channels you get depends on how you orient the antenna, which, for best results, needs to be outside or near a window. Not very convenient for the average couch potato. And extremely limited selection of channels.

b) You can watch all the other cable channels in addition to hi-def channels without constantly hitting the "input selector" feature on your remote.

BUT you do get superior picture quality from on-air HD. The quality from a set-top box is limited to the type of connection: RCA, Component, HDMI.

...is the main issue.

I don't think anyone buys a Flat Screen HD TV to see the local news...
