Just goes to show, that some of the teams that are desperate to win back fan support in the U.S. are paying outrageous money to some players.

Not a chance in hell does that bum Holik deserve 4.25 million per year.......this jackass just got a huge winfall when the Rangers bought him out.

Take note.........the smart GM's are nowhere to be found when it comes to signing these guys at these prices. They are just sitting on the sidelines and letting the little guys have their moment in the sun.

These numbers are crazy!!! If these guys are getting the 4 million dollar paychecks at their talents, I wonder what the projected numbers will be when a BIG player signs (eg. Forsberg, Naslund, Niedermeyer, Modano, Bondra, LeClair, Amonte, & Leetch)

i don't think these players will get more than 4 million a year. that is still outrageous but if the players really want to play, they'll take a pay cut and sign for 2 million a year. this years hockey season should be interesting because all the teams are pretty much at the same level now. each team has about one or two "big stars" on their team now. should be fun
