Holiday Wishes Thread

Well, another year has passed and a new year is about to begin. There have been some highs and some lows on the board but throughout it all I had fun and will continue to have fun. This year I needed to replace my keyboard 3 times. Two of the times were the direct result of Goober’s comments. I have managed to make and meet some new friends because of the board and I hope to continue to communicate with them in the new year.

I want to wish all the members of this board a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanuka and a Happy Kwanza (Still don’t know what that actual is) and especially:

Goober, The Doctor, Intern Monica, Sheik, Kathleen …….oh that Kathleen, Aphrodite, Justifymylove, Wrong Hole, Fred Zed, Daisy, Rayven…..I really miss your pm’s honey (Happy now Sheik!), DenWa and Lil Miss, Meesh, Xarir, Ref, Naughty Alex, Emma22 and Alien where ever you are you crazy Fark.

Please play safe and remember don’t drink and drive. You don’t want to spill your “Gargle Blaster.”

Kwanzza

The roots of KWANZAA are continental African, but the branches and fruit are distinctly Afro-American. Dr. Karenga sought to make the natural and profound connection of Afro-American people to their ancestral beginnings, therefore, KWANZAA "as a holiday of the first fruits" comes directly out of the traditoin of agricultural people of Africa, who celebrated and gave thanks for harvest at designated times during the year.

Each tribe or community in Africa would come together to sing, dance, eat and drink and celebrate the harvest of the first fruits and vegetables. The would bring food they grew or items they made to give to the feast.
