in a van down by the river
I have played on-line (using only play money) but was wondering are there any where you can play live people? I had played when they had those traveling casino's before Rama & Niagra...... Are those on-line card rooms safe ??

The card rooms are generally very safe - but.....

Generally playing Texan Hold em againsta a bunch of strangers can lead to a very expensive and quite possibly short night. If you're looking to play for fun (anything under $500 - $1000) just get a few friends together and play that way. But, playing for real; on a table full of strangers? Hmmmm....you're definitely dead money there.

how so? i won myself a seat in the w.s.o.p. from paradise poker and have made a few bucks along the way. paradise and party poker are good online places to play.

as for the dead money issue i would think you dont play very much or are not very good to start with

Paradise and party poker offer alot of tables for various limits. Poker Stars has a very limited selection of low limit tables. I actually cashed out because I thought they were going to fold.
