Hobbying in Vietnam?

Ill be heading to vietnam, saigon to be exact in november for 3 weeks to visit family, i've never gone back but from what i heard from friends some serious rare gems can be found if you know what you're doing. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't know what you're doing or have no one there to guide you around then it's going to be tough. I have and am still considering Vietnam myself but I don't have much hope for a great time.

My recommdation is avoid hobbying in Vietnam.

Saigon offers some beautiful gems indeed. But it is not easy, it is not so obvious and in your face as Thailand. There are some really good night clubs, and the security guys can organise you a whole bunch of girls. Whether they go with you at the end of the night to firther entertain you in the hotel...is hit and miss. Also, if you're staying in a hotel it usually is difficult to bring a girl to your room. Often the staff insists on a separate room booking. Do you speak the lingo? Are you Asian?
It's easy enough to find a MP with extra service, usual tip for the girl is 20$. You may as well take the extra because they'll ask you for the same tip even if you decline. Let me know if you need any other info.
