Been using a Virgin Mobile Pay and talk with unlimited text for a while. We had a wee mishap and it died in the water. There was actually no booze or weed involved - just a slippery rock. So I got a new phone - a Huawei for one hundred bucks. Actually for a cheap phone, it's pretty impressive. Kind of a toned down version of the I phone I have.

What drives me nuts is the touch screen for typing. On the subway, with the jostling, forget it. Keeping it for other things, but grabbing a blackberry so I can type on real keys.

Is it just me or anyone else find those touch screens a pain for texting?

By the way, the water logged phone had thousands of escort's numbers..... I just put Becky Goldmine on the new one.

I do have to see the other girls some time.

Did you hear Cookie is pregnant? I guess I have to see her just to say I had oral with a pregnant lady in this lifetime.


That damn Becky keeps distracting me though.

I use Wind.. Pay as you go $25. a month. I pre pay $200. every 6 months on it. I purchased a $50. basic Samsung phone when I signed up. No problems
No credit checks or contracts.

They have a cheap phone with a physical keyboard for $29 (when you buy $50 worth of airtime).

i hope you didn't chuck the phone yet, because it may still be saved.
take out the battery and cover, then put it in a container of rice for a few days...
the rice will draw out the water and if the circuit is not fried, is should be ready to go.
I did that to my phone, which I dropped into the lake, and it worked after around 4 days of drying.

No luck... too far gone.... not important anyway.... needed to edit all my listings.

I use Virgin Pay as you go, and pay 15 a month for unlimited texting. I use it combo hobby phone, plus personal texts with ladies I know to keep the personal stuff off my company phone.

Another option that may or may not work (I've never tried so I don't know the technical or practical limitations) would be using Skype on your smartphone with an online number to call or text an SP. Assuming that she accepts calls / texts from strange area codes, this might work. You'd have to pay for the number and credit for the text portion, but it must be cheaper than getting a secondary phone. Not to mention you don't have 2 phones to juggle and fall into the wrong hands.

Google Voice might also work, but I don't how the mobile app works or even if it works in Canada.

The nice thing about using an app like Skype is that the contact details are sync'd so you don't have to worry about losing, dunking or even upgrading your phone. You could easily setup a special Skype username too just for your hobbying contacts.
