HNIC; MacLean Is Back !

Ron MacLean is back as host of Hockey Night in Canada ! Woo Hoo !!!
He will replace George Stroumboulopoulos.
CBC apparently claims poor rating for the move.

I am just glad MacLean is back.

To be fair, low ratings should not be blamed on Strombo. The product on the ice is weak across the league and the HNIC is tied to the Toronto/Montreal markets. And we know how good those teams are.

It's the best for everyone.

HNIC has McLean with his class and dry wit, he's the perfect host. Strombo was an odd fit, being host of HNIC wasn't his gig. Now he can get back to what he does best, current affairs and interviews. I would be thrilled if The Hour were to be revived, that was Strombo in his element.
