Oh good Lord! Such ignorance on this Board! Go to Hassle Free. It really is hassle free. When you are waiting in the waiting room you will get a laugh at Ashley at reception answering calls from guys who went too far the night before and who are now in a panic. You might get the sense he gets a little miffed but if you had to answer those sorts of calls all day long, you probably would too. Yes they ask you to wait 3 months before being tested and hopefully you will abstain or at least practice safe sex during that period. You have to call and make an appointment for HIV testing, but you don't need one for other STI testing. I think that is because they need some sort of counseling on hand if the result is positive. If you do go for testing, all you are required to do is write down on a piece of paper your name, sexual habits and other generic information given the circumstances. You could write Moammar Gadhaffi as your name. They don't care. They keep the HIV testing records separate from the other records in that nothing connects to your health card which is connected to you. They do not ask for your health card for HIV testing. Not so for the testing for other STI's since that requires your health card as they get reimbursed by the province for those tests. You get your results back from the HIV test in a couple of minutes; the longest two minutes of your life. They told me that it is a good idea to get tested at least yearly so I don't know where the belief comes from that they are put off by a bunch of heteros coming in for testing. You should visit their website or call to get info. Good luck. Oh, and it doesn't hurt to make an anonymous donation once in a while.
P.S. For a positive result, they call your wife, mistress, girlfriend, gay lover, sisters, grade 5 teacher, priest, boss, Aunt, internet provider, bank, Costco Membership Services, and Mom. If they really DO need to call all these people, then you REALLY needed to be tested.
