A single fixed camera in a room would provide nothing more then a voyeur type image. Not worth the investment.

It reminds me when I was backpacking through south america, in caracas there was a scandal when someone who downloaded an x-rated clip from the internet recognized himself as the "actor" in the video.

Turns out a very well-known & expensive "love motel" there had been taping patrons. The place was called alibaba or alladin or something, any visitor to Caracas would have seen it from the highway.

The scandal surfaced because the "guy" was an attorney and actually sued the place.

While travelling in Asia I've heard similar stories there. Korea, Taiwan, etc.

If it's happening in Chicago and around the world, it's happening here too. Anywhere, really.

The by-laws in Mississauga expressly prohibit cameras in the room of a MP. And besides, any reputable MP would run the risk of incriminating themselves if the police got hold of any tape. Not worth it for them.

All it takes is someone with half a brain these days to get around the police getting their hands on anything. Just run the camera streams to a slave computer that does noting but transmit them via encrypted wireless router to another computer that records it all whih would be in another building or even a laptop in a nearby car if you wanted. By the time the cops even figured out what was happening, someone could easily pick it up and walk away with it.

All it takes is one girl making oral contact with a cock and the place can be brought up on bawdy house charges. .

This implies that it takes oral/cock contact before charges are brought as opposed to mere digital/cock contact. I don't believe that there is any such distinction in the criminal code.

Are you saying that you believe this is how Toronto cops have chosen to enforce the code ? They tolerate the illegal use of hands ( to borrow a football term) but draw the line at the mouth?

Totally agree! In the MP Forum, there is this sense that a HJ or "release" is just fine, or legal. The Criminal Code says that any sexual activity - regardless of the particular "technique" - constitutes Bawdy House charges.

In reality, maybe the cops only target places that offer "Extra Extras", or the courts dismiss charges only involving HJ's, but people need to realize that according to the letter of the law, there is no difference between oral and any other kind of release.

All well and nice but irrelevant.

Obviously a massage parlor which is really a front for prostitution is already willing to break the law.

Obviously any incall location is already willing to break the law.

Noting "bylaws in Mississauga" is nonsensical. And we all know they've found hidden cameras in hotels, bathrooms, change rooms, etc., all over the world.

Here's another "winner": this "upscale" escort allegedly taped her johns and collected their condoms for DNA evidence in order to extort them later:

And her boyfriend(s) are cops.
