Here’s a Tariff thought

So Trump put a huge tariff on products from China and Europe. Why can’t those countries sell their stuff to Canada and then Canada sells the stuff to the United States and there’s no tariffs to pay anywhere… could that be done or am I missing something?

Nope they would still be tariffed at the US border as you need to declare country of origin. I have benefitted from buying Chiense stuff from the USA and it being declared by the exporter as US made. BUT you can't really do that to any significant scale and if you intentionally declare something falsely they will fuck you GOOD.

Ya I’m not going to disagree with you but there might be some sort of border shenanigans that could be done.
