La ou le plaisir n'a pas de limite...
Yesterday I received 3 tickets. 1 for running a red light 2 for speeding, and 3 for not having a lisence. The officer was kind enough not to charge me with a few more things so I dont know if I should fight the tickets.

Keap in mind I have no lisence at all.

If anybody can help with a lawyer or anyone else who takes care of things like this please pm me.

Thank you kindly

P.S. Can someone tell me how much a bus pass is?

Could you answer one question for me?

Why were you driving if you have no license?

I say take your medicine. And don't do it again.

/fatherly advice.

Because It expired and I did not realize.

No I am not joking. It is my car. They towed the car to my house.

I have friends that are LE (LOL they were the ones that got me started hobbying) - if they were nice and let you off some other things - (depending what they were) I'd say don't fight it - they can still bring up the other ones after the fact. For example my friend pulled over a guy for speeding excessively, - he was sober polite and respectful so my friend lowered his offense, later the guy fought the ticket my buddy had to go to court about it - he then ammended the ticket and the guy got convicted for the full blast - 6 points - dangerous driving and lost his license - when if he had just paid it he would have had 2 point and a smaller fine. Sometimes it doesn't pay to fight things - and with a multiple offense situation like yours, there is a good chance you will burn for it anyway after paying for legal defence, on top of everything else - sorry but in this case I think it sounds like a losing battle.

Didn't you get one of those renewal notices in the mail?

In any case, the cop let you off. Count your blessings, pay the fines, and drive safe next time. I understand the urge to run yellow lights, but if you had stopped you likely wouldn't have received any tickets at all.

But if you're really intent on fighting, why not try one of those XCopper outfits ("If you don't win, you don't pay")? They advertise in the yellow pages.

It doesn't hurt to check your licence expiry date out. Sometimes they will mail you the expiry form and your regular plate renewal at the same time. It is easy to forget that it had expired.

My friend was nailed for an expired licence, I checked mine & lo and behold it had expired. The next day I had it corrected - Phew!

It was late late at night and no cars were on the road, except for the cop behind me. As for the red light i saw it, I stopped looked all ways and went. I was in a hurry thats it.

As for the renual notices no I did not get one. Most likely I will fight it and hope for the best.

Thanks for all the help.

P.S. Rusty call me as I lost my phone.

I hate asshats who think the law doesn't apply to them because they're in a hurry. I'm sorry, 2sexxxy, ordinarily I love your posts, but come on! You're going to fight it?

I'll say it again, take your medicine. Be glad he didn't throw the book at you. And be more careful next time.

Sheesh. In a hurry. As if that justifies it.

*wanders off mumbling to himself*

Really Retired.....REALLY!
THe reason X-copper and places like that will offer the guarantee that you don't pay if you don't winn is becasue they will only take cases they are pretty sure they can win.

I am not saying what I did was correct, I am doing what I always do looking for the easy way out. This is my first ever ticket and have no idea how to handle it. People always tell me how they get off by going to court. I just wanted to get some feedback as whether you can actually get off or not and whether its worth it.

Yes I had insurance.

Well, fair enough. I can relate to that! :)

Ontario is officially bilingual. If you speak French, or if you can find French speaking representation ask for trial in a French court. Since the majority of cops don't speak French, chances are he either won't show up or he'll be double booked and choose to go to English court instead. In either case, it should be easier for you if the cop isn't there.

Thanks, if worst comes to worst I may have to take that limo to Blue Lagoon. No wait, things cant be that bad.

I am going to look into the french court. Who knows I might get to see a nice lady judge there.

As far as the cop not showing up, it all depends what unit the officer is with. If the cop is a traffic cop then yes, they will show up for court. If the cop is just a regular cop on patrol then the chances of them showing up are much more slim.
