Hell's Angels meet up this coming weekend...

Seriously? They are bikers, plain and simple. Of course they 'engage' with civilians. They buy things from the store like anyone else.
Better warning would be, "don't pick a fight with them". If you're friendly towards them they will generally reciprocate. At least that's been my experience dealing with bikers of any club. Don't trust them in a business dealing though, especially if it is not 100% legal. They will think nothing of ripping you off, again based on my experiences with them.
They are outlaws. That is a simple fact. They pimp out and traffic women, sell drugs, and can be violent. Now....will they just cause shit with a civilian who's minding their own business? No. They aren't fucking idiots. But, it a rival biker gang showed up, there could be violence. But, I'd also expect a active police presence where there are uniformed officers and cop cars patrolling wherever the bikers are.
Fun fact: Remember there used to be a strip club on the Queensway right by that Ikea? There was a Hells Angels club house down that street. I don't know for sure, but I remember hearing the club was a front for the Angels. Then, the peeler joint got busted or bankrupted....and became a church....lol
They don't bother me and I don't bother them, as a owner of a motor bike - I do like to see those bikes though - some have have some nice accessories.
Only danger as a bike owner is if you ride a Harley. They have been known to steal them, even from other bikers. They just pick them up and put them in the back of a pickup and drive away.
And plenty of $$$ invested in those accessories. Some bikes are beauties.
Many years ago there was a big Hells Angels gathering outside of Niagara Falls to celebrate the opening of a new club house.
After work(11pm) I headed out to the Downer and when I walked in there were about 10-15 of them in the bar. I was going to turn around and leave. One of my favorite dancers seen me as soon as I walked in. So decided to stay. Honestly the bikers kept to themselves and didn't cause any problems.
There was a cop car in the parking lot keeping an eye on the club just incase.
Like everyone says, you don't bother them, they don't bother you.

Like I said, Haven't encountered Hell's Angels...but some biker club I encountered were very friendly...saw them meet up at the plaza in Ajaz by salem and they have some pretty looking motorcycles...one guy even offered if I want to sit on his bike and take a picture...as a small dude I just said, it won't look too good sitting on his big bike...always like them harley's...just that too pussy to ride them.
All this means is a simple rule, "don't f**k with them, they will not f**k with you"
This ride is for charity which doesn't excuse their diverse ways of making a living but I'm 100% sure they will be friendly and low key for this rally. They are not fond of the wrong publicity
Some guys have respect for these guys, I don't. They're organized crime. This is likely a meeting because their boss Maurice "Mom" Boucher has just died of cancer. Me thinks that they're looking to vote in a new Boss.
Mom was ostracized by the HA years ago when he went to jail that's why there was no formal send off. Quebec chapter already probably have a new leader . There are chapters coming from all over for this no doubts there will be meetings and deals made but that all the more reason to be discreet.
It doesn't, your right, I got the event wrong but these events are held all over the country and to my knowledge there has never been any trouble. I don't know why this is such a big issue.
The issue is just because people are going to see hundreds or thousand of bikers and they're afraid of vandalism or whatever. Cops are trying to reassure them. But Angels do have a toy charity around Christmas.

True, every year a different chapter has to host the meeting, can you imagine the parties, they would be epic
I thought the accessories that were obliquely mentioned really meant the shes that ride with the hes.
And if it is a biker's bitch it is definitely look but don't touch.
Unless she is working a shift at the peeler club.
Then touch comes at a rate of $20 or so a song.
