There is another thread on the same topic. Seems like it is a good idea that died in the planning. What ever happened with this new Place that was supposed to be open? Anyone?
Yeah I think Hello Fresh is a dumb name tooWhy? I think it is a good name like Hello Fresh, especially if they have a subscription service where they chose a weekly provider for you![]()
It can’t be an agency AND a collective. Those two things aren’t the same. There’s been quite a bit of discourse back and forth on Twitter specifically on that topic and I was happy to learn quite a bit on the subject and laws.Maybe the agency/collective needs more time to get everything ready.
Ottawa needs a reliable agency which provides quality SPs at reasonable rates and eases the booking process. And HelloLoves is a cute name IMO.
Some Spas and Indies might not be happy with their opening but sooner or later SP agencies will operate in Ottawa as there is a market for it.
I wish them all the best.
My guess is they're an agency which calls themselves a collective for legal purposes. It can’t be an agency AND a collective. Those two things aren’t the same. I think if this agency has any chance of even getting off the ground they’ll need to rethink their operations and get someone more reliable/professional behind the wheel… Also better marketing and communications would help.
Just my 2 cents but I’d rather give my cash to a provider directly than a “agency” or management.
Theyre still calling themselves an agency at least in their twitter bio. So if they’re trying to be slick “for legal purposes” their failing hardMy guess is they're an agency which calls themselves a collective for legal purposes.
No idea who's running the operations and I really don't care unless they're harming someone.
You're sounding like an Indy who's worried about a little competitionTheyre still calling themselves an agency at least in their twitter bio. So if they’re trying to be slick “for legal purposes” their failing hard
But regardless. They can call themselves whatever they want. If they are advertising rates, providing locations and taking a cut. Then it’s very much an agency and very much breaking the law.
That’s basically one of the reason (among many) why I avoid agencies. The industry is risky enough for us clients. We are the ones who can face charges. Agencies just attract LE especially if multiple women and clients are coming and going throughout the day. I don’t like that kind of heat and will keep playing it safe(r) and see established Indy ladies.
