I am at Heathrow Airport in London England on a business trip and was wondering if anyone in the Ottawa thread could recommend an agency or SP in the area - I am likely to try one either way and will post a review afterwards for those of you who travel abroad like me... thanks in advance!

I would be extremely cautious when dealing with ANYONE in London. There are numerous scams, cons and anything else going on... especially with tourists. Some will not stop at the money they take but force you to an ATM to take everything else they can take you for or just physically beat you till you give them what they want.
AND DO NOT THINK YOU ARE TOO SMART... I grew up as a young delinquent relying on my abilities (reading people and their weaknesses) to get out of constant troubles. Never thought I'd ever be conned... till I went on a trip to London from Germany... AND it happened... so bad they almost took me twice...

My personal experience: scammed in Soho
So I was in Soho for the first time about 15 yrs ago. I don't know the area and I'm a bit (no...a LOT) naive.
Once in a while I see a place with a nice looking girl out front some places offering some 4 or 5 pound cover to go in and see a strip show...but you have to buy a drink or two or something like that.
So I go into a place and they lead me to a small party-room type of thing, no-one else around but two girls, it's dark, music playing, disco lights on, a small bar. A waiter type guy asks me what I'll have to drink. I ask for a beer. A girl sits me down and then leaves.
Then the guy comes in and lays down a piece of paper in front of me. I ask what it is. It's the bill for the drink he says. I pick it up and look at it: something like 300 pounds for the one drink!
I say I'm not paying that, then another bigger guy comes in and stands over me. They say if I don't pay they'll call the cops.
At first I'm dumb and argue with them and saying yeah go ahead call the cops. But then I realized I didn't have any cash on me. So then I pretended that I was really scared and just wanted to settle it. I told them it would be really embarrassing if this got out and pleaded with them to just settle this with me. I told them that if they came with me to the money exchange place so I could get a cash advance on my credit card that I'd pay them and we'd be done with it. They fell for it!. As soon as I got to the safety of the crowded streets I told them to F off and call whoever they wanted!
There's also tons of apartment doors that say something like : Model, ring Apt. 3B. These are just girls working out of little apartments. Go to these places instead. Back then I got laid for 30 pounds with a nice blonde.

Never failed for me - ask a cabbie. Plan B - check out most phone booths. They almost always have inserts in the booth that you can call and are legit. Finally, google the obvious search terms - most places are good as long as the rates are appropriate but the rates are expensive relative to Canada.
The cards ads in the phone booths are normally legit and service excellent, but it's very expensive: typically 300 pounds ($600). Better are the walk-ins like around Shepherd's Bush. Save your money and go to Montreal. Germany would also be better, as brothels there are completely legal. Or else, instead of paying 300 pounds in London, you could probably take a quick flight to Amsterdam on EasyJet or Ryan Air on a cheap fare, and get screwed a few times for 50 Euros per 15 minutes, and have a bit of money left over.

I then told him that I didn't have that kind of money with me and showed him 15 pounds saying "that's all I have": he took the 15 pounds and put them in his pocket. He started pushing me around. I then went to see a big guy in the audience and tried to explain to him the situation (I have talked to that guy before outside when waiting to buy my ticket for the show). The bouncer then stopped pushing me around and I left running as soon as he turned his back. Very bad experience. No way I will go back to Soho for fun.
