Headphone repair

So, I think I loosened the spring near the 3.5" plug of my headphone and now the sound only comes from the right channel :(

I could 'fix' it by holding the wire at almost a 90 degree angle but that doesn't even work now ( as I am typing ). Do you guys know of any store/person that can resolve this problem for me ? Its out of warranty so I am on my own.

Any help would be welcome.

If it is simply on the plug end, it is a five minute repair. You can buy a new connector at radio shack. Strip the wires and solder it on. Just call an audio store near you that advertises repairs and they can do it. If you have a friend who can solder, they can do it for free :).

It also depends on how much the headphones cost originally. The Source is very expensive, and one's time is also money. If it's a repair, probably a better place to get a plug for the money would be the likes of Sayal Electronics, if you know what you are looking for.

Have arranged for a repair via a friend of a friend. The headphones cost $200

Lets see how that goes.
