Any sports team or college hazing stories?

I played junior hockey in late 60's early 70's. After practice new guys were pulled out of shower naked and all body was shaved off, we were handed a slice of bread and told to jerk on the bread the last guy to come had to eat his bread, naked elephant walk you stuck your finger up the ass of the guy in frount of you the guy behind you did the same to you ,you put a finger on your other hand in your mouth, if your finger up the ass came out you were to change fingers. anyone else.

That's some seriously fucked up shit. It's part of the reason i despised and continue to despise team sports. Guys in packs are ugly.

Ever notice that the more "macho" or "jocky" the guy is, the more likely the hazing riutals are going to have some homoerotic aspect to them?

It's like their biggest fear is that we'll think they're gay (because they like to play contact sports with other guys and shower in a big room together), so the antidote is to make sure that everyone has to do something male-on-male so they are all equally "tainted" and can't break ranks. It's just disgusting and sadly insecure. Military is like that, too.

I think back to residence at university. One year on a coed floor and one year on an all-male floor. The first was social, the second was just ugly.

I've done the elephant walk where you and your teammates walk naked through a party, right hand extended backward through your legs to grab ahold of the left hand of the guy behind you, to create a chain effect.

Swirlies: you dunk your head in a toilet while someone flushes it. A dirty swirlie was .. well, the water wasn't clear, put it that way. You got one of those if you really fucked up.

Played hockey at a decent level myself and never experienced anything near that level of hazing.

Sounds like I'm about 15 years younger than you, so maybe it got toned down.

Or maybe you're just playing for the wrong team...

Just across the lake from TO in Wilson NY they arrested 2 High School kids for hazing on a bus coming back from a baseball game. Apparently they were sticking something (? the newspaper didn't say what) up the new player's ass. This hazing has been going on for the Wilson High baseball team for several years. They charged the two coaches too.

Hazing is just bullying. When I got out of the army I went to University and joined the swim team. A few assholes on the team thought they would haze the new guys, including me. When they started their shit I took a large glass ashtray off the coaches desk (see how long ago it was) and smashed one of the guys in the face with it. Broke his nose and knocked out lots of his teeth.

There was a big stink about it, but hazing was against the rules of the University. I was only kicked off the team, but the coach got fired and all those who participated in the hazing got suspended from the University.
