Note: I understand living in a hotel might not be for everyone. However, I wanted to share my experience. Hopefully, it will help those who are very interested in those types of living arrangements.

Also, I'm talking about having a private room equivalent to a studio apartment size, not a small cramped space. This distinction is crucial.

I was trying to live the playboy lifestyle for a while and tried different places to live. I have concluded that living in a hotel plus a bar/club is one of the best. I have tried it for two months, and this is what I found.

Super Positives
-The party comes to you. If you live right on a bar/club, there will always be new people coming.
-A fresh supply of hot girls who are always coming to have fun and party.
-Excellent logistics. You are only one elevator ride away from your private room. This logistic does away with having to drive to a place, having to "bar hop," or having to take the girls from your place, which will make you lose the girls more often than not.
--Lax enforcement to no enforcement of guest rules: Depending on which apartment complex you live in. There are all sorts of guest rules in "high priced apartments" where you need to register your guests. Some even take weeks to get approval. Meanwhile, in the hotel, I took an SB to the hotel's cafeteria and then went straight to my room and had no questions.
-Less loneliness: There will be more fun people you can socialize with at a hotel. This fact has been a drawback at the "luxury apartment complexes" I'd live in(hint they aren't luxurious. It's just a fancy marketing name they use). There are usually older couples with the "get off my lawn" attitude. This fact means that they'll try to "police" the building and have all sorts of mundane rules.

Positives
You could get all of these in an apartment complex, but even then, at a hotel(+bar), it might more convenient.
-Cleaning services. If you live in an apartment, you will have cleaning services more readily available to you. While in an apartment, you will have to hire them independently.
-Food, while you can cook your food, there is also food that can easily be provided to you. While it might be slightly more expensive, it's even more convenient.
-Noise cancellation room, you can live on the upper floor where you won't hear anything. If you work from home, you can tune out. Moreover, most of the parties happen on the weekends.
-Centrally located: Most of these hotels are centrally located in a downtown area similar to the apartment complex, which also has the same up.

Drawbacks
Most of the drawbacks are how the system is set up. For instance, if someone books your room one day. However, all can be overcome if you book with anticipation. Another drawback might be the price; however, if you know the staff, there are ways around this.

This sounds interesting, how do you go about negotiating a living situation in a hotel, are there any chains you recommend, and how does the pricing compare to renting a place or longer term AirBnb?

I did for 18 months.
In Communist China to be exact.
The seaside city of Zhuhai.
5 star hotel.
My room had a $MM view of the South China sea, and the hotel swimming pool below, via a floor-to-ceiling & wall-to-wall window.
At night, when I ate at the hotel, you would see, dozens, if not hundreds, of working girls entering, to take an elevator to the nightclub/karaokee bar on the top floor.
The majority were available for in-room entertainment.
Especially, with a "gwialo" (white ghost) such as myself.
Words cannot express how much fun I had, and how many times.
Unfortunately, I only have a few photos, and lots & lots of memories to keep, as this was quite-a--few years ago.

"back" you mean if another client booked the room?
How about a motel next door to a local bar? They have monthly renting.

Excellent post, where all the girls Asian or was there a mix? Also do you think China and other Eastern countries are much more 'hobbyist" friendly than Western countries?

Exactly, what I meant was the somebody could book your room so you have to make sure you book it for a complete month. Sometimes they'll have a day in he month you'll pick which is reserved, so you will need to jump through those hoops.

All Chinese.
When I discovered the whoring centre of Macau (weekends only), there were lots & lots of Imports, Filipinas mostly, but also many Russians & Portuguese babes.
Remember: The more things change, the more they stay-the-same.
I keep going back to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore for top shelf Asian hotties.

I get the feeling the fun times are over now in the PRC. Could easily end up like the two Michaels.

Found myself homeless and working back in 81. Landlord sold the place out from under me. So I lived at the Isabella for a couple of weeks. Quite handy for work actually. Street car straight down Sherbourne.
Wasn't bad actually. Living above a bar. Moved out and couch surfed with a buddy from work for a few weeks just around the corner. We drank in there on Friday and came back on Monday evening after work for a brew. The place had become a gay bar over the weekend. No shit. Nothing wrong with that, but the waiters looked kind of nonplussed.

Nonsense!
You would have to be either important or someone they could put on a pedestal and make an example of, or both.

I suspect that you and I are neither.

Here is a story I think I may have posted before. Someone told me about his friend which fell into him by accident. Not planned but after the fact it became a Plan.
We will call him Bob

Bob worked part time on weekends at a horse farm. After a while he rented an apartment from the farmer which he had . Although Bob worked at a full time job in the city Bob decided to live in the country for the heck of it. Perhaps a break up. Plus Bob worked weekend there and some weekdays part for the deal. This happen round 2000's lavlife was popular, He posted his pic with a horse.

Yes woman would contact him, previous dates would show up unannounced while he had the current date inside his bedroom. The unexpected woman wanted to ride the horse and him.

I don't know for how long he did it, but it was a good ride.

A few summers ago, I spent weeks (cumulatively) in various downtown hotels while my home was being renovated.
Expensive as all hell, but I loved it - precisely for the reasons above.

Guys, your thoughts on One King West?
Holy shit, a name from the past. Been there a few times. Nice floor to ceiling glass windows. Stopped going there when they placed the security desk in front of the elevators and checked ID's. How is it now?

Regarding China, have not been. Work did take me to Japan about 15 years ago. Met a blue eyed blonde (we only talked). She said she and a friend were from Australia and Japanese men love white, blue eyed blondes. She said the money was amazing.

Jesus Christ, that was me!

How the fuck did that story get on the internet?

For the record, I had a puppy in the pic as well. He and the horse were pussy magnets for city girls looking forward some affection
