Just drove my City Hall and it looks like the number of strikers have reduced drastically!!!!

Is it just me or does it look like the Union is losing support?

Any news on how many City workers have gone back to work?

Is the end of the strike in sight?

I couldn't survive by missing a week of work given my lifestyle so I don't blame the darn scabs for being scabs!!!

I think you're deluding yourself if you think anywhere close to a majority have crossed the picket lines.

The last estimate I saw was 500 out of something like 22,000.

Don't believe the hype.

That being said, I do believe the city is winning the PR campaign...

Where did you see this estimate?
The Union website? From what I've heard the numbers that have returned to work are closer to 30%!!! How's the union going to discipline their scabs!!! Like I said I can't blame them because those bills/ that debt will not simply go away!

The 500 figure was taken from news reports a few days ago. I've heard no new reports or figures. If true, 30% brings a big smile to my day. I'd doubt it, but it would make me smile.

Not even close, it's less than 3%, don't forget both inside and outside workers total about 30,000. A number over 500 to 600 was posted publically by city management recently, not much to think about making any cracks at this time. Hopefully, this will end soon, it's getting boring with same old, same old, but nerves are starting to frazzle.

3% makes the number closer to 900 workers. Hey who knows.

Just heard that the Windsor workers were considering a vote on the city's offer. Any ideas on the particulars in the offer on the table.

The union workers will quit following there union before they will break ranks and return to work. I tend to believe that 500 to 600 have returned to work. 30% have went to there second jobs, or just left town and went on vacation.

Why man the picket line in July? Go on vacation. If your wifes a teacher, you have nothing to worry about. The auto plants are on two-week shutdown (if they are open). It is summer. Go on vacation.

I could be wrong but I think you have to spend some time on the picket line per week to draw strike pay, although I'll bet the union's pretty soft on that guideline.

It doesn't help the union's public image when you see them forcing 75 year old senior citizens to wait 3 hours in the hot sun and then force them to WALK their garbage into the dump.

Some citizen volunteers are removing garbage downtown and will also do the same after the Caribana parade. Apparently, the union is complaining that these citizen volunteers don't have the NECESSARY SKILLS to properly pick up garbage on public space.

Can you imagine if those seniors were your grandparents? I should bring my young nephews and nieces down to the dump so they can learn a life lesson about union thugs and goons.

Correct, 4 hours per day shifts to get $10 per hour, not much but many workers need all they can get to pay bills.

Not correct, you don't walk the line, you don't paid, period, they are quite tough on this point.

Like I've said: a trained monkey can pickup garbage.......man if I had the resources I'd make a video of a chimp in a city worker uniform throwing garbage bags into the back of a garbage truck and post it on the net....

where's the trunk monkey when you need him?

I've seen 500 or so in the media as well.

Friend of mine, who is a director at City Hall, confirms it.
Did the Director friend of yours mention how many Union people in policy positions are receiving money from the City to work from home? LOL

The Union does not have as much clout as you may think my friend!!!
