Are you suggesting that perhaps Terb is going to become "one of those other boards"?

Hmmm, I dunno if it has jumped the shark, but it's definitely not what it used to be. There's now much more focus on non-SC/SP material and TERB seems to have become a meeting place of sorts for SPs and customers. Which can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your viewpoint.

Personally, I prefer the grim and gritty underground type of boards vs. the high profile type.

Too early to tell.

But it seems to be a natural mutation rather than an extreme left/right turn (about face?). We won't know if the sharks been jumped for a while yet.
A victim of it's own success?
Let's hope not, but people get tired, move on, I think it's called "growing" if you believe all that crap.

Terb jumped the shark and...

understood it jumped the shark and like a troubled, bloated corporation:

- restructured infrastructure (new software)

- had problems with implementation, layout and colors, and retrenched

- heads have rolled that "weren't in line with new vision"

Typically about this time executroids announce it was all to be expected,
moving forward going onward to win win empowering vision and blah and blah.

I actually find a lot of threads turn into silly attempts at humourous back-and-forth banter (which usually isn't all that funny, more of "I want to contribute even though I have nothing to say") and after a while of having to sift through crap to find something interesting I just give up.

You're assuming that TERB was actually on the other side of the shark to begin with.

Sorry Keebler Elf and canucklehead

Offstage, instrument tuned.
Terb has had plenty of help jumping the shark.

Positive reviews are instantly judged as shills. Negative reviews result in the reviewers being roasted over the coals. There are agencies you can't mention, good or bad. There are topics that you shouldn't talk about, (street walkers and extras in SC's come to mind). Certain characters that had interesting points of view have been banned or just plain got bored and wandered off. The board has a new format...didn't know the old one was broken.

The end result: people taking polls, a real lack of reviews (I thought that was the point of a review board), and most posts having minimal relevance to the original point.

Can it be fixed? As they say, the bigger the boat the harder it is to turn around.
