Agreed....same here. Just don't go to C/T for anything critical and/or expensive. The Bandit said:You don't have to install them there, if you do it's $15 per tire for balancing. I've had tires installed there for years and never had a problem.

To date- never had an issue.
Funny you say that because they are made by goodyear, general and BF goodrich. Just rebranded. There aren't that many tire makers around.....Cinema Face said:I guess that you're OK with buying Michelin tires but stay away from Motomaster brand tires. They suck.

That's not always the case, I went to the goodyear plant and watched motomaster tires and goodyear branded tires coming out of the same mold/line. The last step in the production line was putting the name on the tires and the tour guide indicated that the same production line, materials everything was used for ALL tires they made, didn't matter what name was on it......The price difference is made up in volume. The more you order the lower the price.blackrock13 said:Yes, very few companies make most of the tires. The tire may look a like but the differece in price has to be made up somewhere and that somewhere is in the rubber compound. The better preforming tire are often made with very complex compounds and they don't come cheap.
I wouldn't have CT do any work on my car for anything. The shop is filled with shop monkeys from George Brown and they're paid peanuts.
