Another concert at Rama - what a great place to see these bands that as a kid I never got to see, I wish though I saw April Wine in the 70's live. These guys can still rock and Myles Goodwyn's voice and only original member of the original line-up (1971) still can belt it out and play that guitar. Harlequin opened up and they played all the hits - I knew the famous ones - 'Thinking Of You' and 'Innocence' - but the crowd was there to see April Wine and they delivered a great set. On deck in January will be a triple bill with Toronto/Headpins and the Metal Queen herself Lee Aaron.

The only song I wish April Wine would've played that they didn't was 'Rock Myself To Sleep' - great tune.

April Wine is such an underrated band. I like Casino Rama for concerts, been to a couple there.

30 July, 1977 at Place des Nations at La Ronde in Montreal, (Amusement Park on Ile Notre Dame, where the Formula 1 circuit is located now). The Opening act was Andy Gibb, who had the #1 single on the Billboard chart on the day of that show, (I Just Want to be Your Everything).

Andy was actually pretty good, but the crowd didn't like him; they were there for Rock, and he was AM radio pop. The kicker above the headline for the concert revue in the Montreal Star the next day was "Andy Gibb Warms Up Hecklers".
