Hardware Donation Suggestions ?

I have 8 homemade RAID servers using anywhere from 120G to 200G IDE drives. Most of the hardware is 2-3 years old.

Overall, I have 8 PCs and 64+ working drives adding up to about 10 TB but want to get rid of the lot and replace it all with a few servers using much bigger drives to save on power and maintenance headaches.

It seems like a shame to just trash all of this working hardware.

Does anyone have any suggestions of an organization that could actually benefit from this equipment (even as parts). A charitable donation receipt would be great (but not necessary).

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

You could talk to March of Dimes, Goodwill, Salvation Army, places like that, try to speak to someone higher up rather than just a clerk.
Alot of people think that Value Village is a charitable org., it is a business, they purchase per pound from Diabetes etc for the merchandise they sell. The big profit makers there are Value Village, not the organisations they purchase from.

You could talk to schools. Unfortunately, my company had difficulty dealing with the Toronto Board's beurocracy but we managed to get them directly to kids in need that the school identified. No tax reciept this way though.
