I don't understand why some people insist on having an alternative holiday on the same day as Christmas. If you want to celebrate your pseudo-holiday that you and a few dozen other people celebrate, choose a different day. There are 365 days in a year.

What a drag you are, it's a joke holiday from a sitcom...way to put a fun spin on it.

You may not be aware that Christmas is the alternative festival the Christians designated on the same date as the original Nordic solstice festival. Christmas is the pseudo holiday.

Do you really believe that little baby Jesus was born on the day of the winter solstice festival? LOL

Because just about every culture on the planet has a Winter Solstice celebration, so one more does no harm to you at all.

LOL, you may want to do some reading on syncretic religions... Christianity is infamous for it.

That's probably exactly what the pagan Romans were saying when Constantine usurped their holiday in honour of the god Saturn and turned it into Christmas.

Even you will admit it was an enormous improvement.
Methink not. The Nordic solstice festival was way better than singing hymns and praying, if you know what I mean.

Is your pole up yet?
Only with your help.

Christians are party poopers. Dec 25 was The Holiday to the Ancient Romans. It's the first day where nights get shorter and this is how they celebrated.

Those cultures today who don't celebrate Christmas look on with envy at the decorations and the gift-giving. Some non-Christians have even decided to celebrate it themselves, such as the Japanese.
