It is also "Bevrieding", celebrating when the Netherlands was liberated in 1945. If you are a Canadian over there on May 5th, you get treated very well. If you are over there on this day and your birthday happens to be May 5th (as in my case), it gets crazy. I've been there for that a few times, and I understand it was amazing. SO while you enjoy your tacos and build your walls, I'm going to debate the nuances between Heineken and Grolsch !!!
Not exactly a rich culinary tradition. They colonized Indonesia in order to get a tasty meal.
