Since I was 12 years old I adored Madonnas dominant personality her fashion statements and of course her music. She literarily changed the world for women,,,,and I'm so thankful that she ran away from Detroit to chance it in New York with only 40 bucks in her pocket. She couch surfed she made connections with making porn then she was able to get an apartment. Her sexual nature paved the way for many of us feeling comfortable to express ourselves.sexually She's a leo a fire sign like myself and my goal is to be as fit as her when i'm 63. Back when I was just starting high school it was 1980. A close pal had sailed the great lakes that summer with his mon and dad.
They were gone all summer, and when in port, would rent a beat up car from a local at the place they were tied up to make day trips to explore the inland region.
One day his mom and dad were in the Michigan UP, and for whatever reason the kids were not with them.
But they did give a gal who was hitchhiking lift to the next town.
She said she was a performer, and her stage name was Madonna.

I heard the story, and the name took hold when her songs became big hits a few years after that.

My wife just finished reading a book by her brother yesterday as a run up to her today birthday
