Last night me and some other friends and there girlfriends came over
and we had ohh just one to many beers plus a Canadian club.
We ended up calling people from are cell phones and making prank calls

Drunkin text & pretty much we were acting like kids well I guess I still am today at 29.
Anyway I got up in the morning just feeling like shit! I was feeling dizzy and I droped on
the floor for a couple minutes. I drank me some good Dole orange juice which did help me
feel better and head still hurts. It's even crazy that I'm up this early typing this on Terb!

I just want to know your thoughts on what you do when you
have a Hangover after a night of partying?

Lots of water, some apple juice, some ASA and sleep.

If you have had too much to drink, before you go to bed drink 1 or 2 glasses of water. When you get up to go pee in the night, drink more water.

A hangover is primarily dehydration.

For me it's always lots of water, pedialyte and a multi vitamin in addition to a vitamin B complex to start my day. It helps to get my body back to it's normal balance as quickly as possible, though I usually take as much of this as I can before I sleep so I feel better before I have to get up and start my day.
Hope you are up and functional soon! :)

From ABC News: The New Year's Hangover

Myths And Facts

Myths and facts about sobering up and "curing" hangovers, from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism:

Myth: Drink coffee. Caffeine will sober you up.

Fact: The body needs time to metabolize alcohol and even more time to return to normal. There are no trick cures; only time will help.

Myth: Take aspirin and drink a lot of water at bedtime to prevent a hangover.

Fact: Water helps with dehydration, but aspirin can make your stomach hurt, and acetaminophen (Tylenol) can be toxic to a liver soaked with alcohol.

Myth: Eat before going to sleep to soak up the alcohol and prevent nausea.

Fact: Food does more the morning after, especially foods with complex carbohydrates (such as cereals and breads) that help replenish blood sugar and ease an upset stomach.

Myth: A morning drink will help cure a hangover (the "hair of the dog" theory).

Fact: This short-term "cure" only feels good because your brain is reacting to alcohol. You can get back to normal only by getting alcohol out of your system.

In short, there simply isn't any "magic bullet."

Here
Two big glasses of water and a couple 500mg pain relievers before bedtime. The problem is - you are so happy to see your bed and pass out that you forget to do this.

Either way, when you get up to pee in the middle of the night, do it then and you'll be in pretty good shape come morning. Then hit your favorite diner for a big plate of carbs!

As an experienced drinker, I feel its all about what's in your stomach while your drinking. You need food and liquids before, during and after you drink alcohol.

My friend Jim usually helps me out. If he's busy, Jack is usually around. In an emergency I can always call on Johnny Walker...

Most are true, except this one. Your body is going into alcohol withdrawl, that is part of the hangover. Another part is that your body has produced an enzyme call Alcohol Dehydrogenase that is used to break down ethanol, part of the hangover is the presence of this enzyme in the blood looking to do it's job. Give it something to attack and it breaks down and reduces the effect it is having on your system.

The info up thread is right, nothing but time will return your body to normal. You can however mask the symptoms to some extent.

What I do:

-- Lots of water
-- Liquid gel caplets of ibuprofin to deal with the headache
-- Redbull (aka sugar and caffeine, lots of both)
-- Visene eye drops to get the red out
-- Eat whatever it is you feel like eating

I do find the water helps a lot more if you can remember to drink it BEFORE you go to bed.

My remedy for hangovers:

One gatorade and a join BEFORE going to bed.

Another gatorade first thing when I wake up, followed by a greasy breakfast. Then back to bed for another hour. I usually wake up fresh and new after that.
