Seriously, although many Canadians are so in love with USA, Canada is actually a great country in terms of raw materials and self sufficiency.

We might not have rock hard strawberries all year round, and a few other things, but we would do jut fine if we closed the border to USA.

How much more money would we have to spend on defense?. The U.S protects us. Canada would really suffer if we did this. Most of our exports go to the U.S. so you would lose that as well. The unemployment rate would probably be at 50%.

I am Canadian but live in reality. You don't have a clue of how much we rely on the U.S and China economically. Those 2 are our biggest trading partners. Who is Canada going to sell their products to if you eliminate them? They are by far the 2 biggest economies in the world. Do we have companies that rival, Apple, Google and Microsoft. Where the hell did you dig that one up?
