I don't remember the birds in the tv version I saw, so it may have been cut with the sex scene. But off hand, I would say it was a metaphor. Billy Bob Thornton plays a prison guard who grew up in a family of racist prison guards. And he decides to leave that behind him, the job that is, at the same time he meets the lady in question. So he is freeing himself from his own prejudices and limitations that he experienced as a prison guard. Well, its been awhile since I saw the film, so I am just guessing here, but I expect the bird in a cage is something like that. There are some nice twists in the plot that make it a very interesting movie. Watch it if you can. Its worth it, with or without the nude scene.y2kmark said:Whats the thing with the bird all about??
She isn't black....she is mixed (white mom/black dad). Runner up for Miss USA in 1986 (to the best looking Miss USA ever Christy Fichtner) although Halle did win Miss World in 1986.s-husky said:She is without a doubt the most beautiful and most sexy black chick I know and has been for a long time.
Most of the African American gene pool is "mixed "with Europeans to some extent, resulting in many lighter skinned people. Some" white" Americans even have an African ancestor. This was historicaly a taboo subject in America, lots of race mixing and particular white slave master black female slave rape. These mixed people in the United States of America are still classified as "black", and certainly not white, making the beautiful Hally Berry definitely black.to-guy69 said:She isn't black....she is mixed (white mom/black dad). Actually you are incorrect. Halle is a product of the genetics that she inherited from her biological mother and father. It has absolutely nothing to do with what people classify her as. If her biological mother is indeed Caucasian, then she is no more black than she is white. She probably recognizes that she has more career opportunities by labelling herself as black.lomotil said:These mixed people in the United States of America are still classified as "black", and certainly not white, making the beautiful Hally Berry definitely black.
Halle Berry must have sinned in an earlier life.BallzDeep said:Halle Berry was thinking "I can't believe I'm fucking BBThorton"

both from entirely different perspectives.......she must have had a long shower after that one, he's a greaseball.
Man now wonder Eric Benet was so pissed, that was a pretty intense scene. I remember seeing the movie in the theater but I guess I forgot how intense that scene was. Apparently she is appearing nude again for her upcoming movie Nappily Ever After. At 41 she is still looking hot!pokergod said:
You are right, a large percentage of American's are of mixed race, many of them with Native American, even though it may not be noticeable.lomotil said:Most of the African American gene pool is "mixed "with Europeans to some extent, resulting in many lighter skinned people. That's hilarious, but for a greaseball he did pretty good nailing both Halle Berry and Angelia Jolie.BallzDeep said:Halle Berry was thinking "I can't believe I'm fucking BBThorton"

Did you know that identical twins have identical DNA? This info has absolutely nothing to do with Halle being mixed but I thought it interesting anyway. Carry on.Dev0 said:a product of the genetics that she inherited from her biological mother and father.
