Ok gents, had my first dip into the hobby tonight at club alpha west. Nothing crazy, a massage with some finger play, jumped into the shallow end as it were.

Here's what I'm feelin awkward about: I gave the money owed for the service by the establishment with a tip. I have no idea how much of the fee is for the girl and how much club alpha takes...so I'm worried my tip wasn't enough. It was a one hour session, what would you guys say is a reasonable tip? Assuming you enjoyed yourself.

Most massage attendants quote a fee for services, which includes the room charge. About $160 to $180 per half hour.

Club Alpha doesn't advertise their door fee (the "house cut" taken from the attendant), so I can't say for sure how much it is. For a frame of reference, the door fee at Paradise Spa/Angel's touch is $60 for a half hour; at ALO, it's $55. Given that Club Alpha is a bit more upscale, I'd expect it to be more.

Tipping (I.E. paying more than the agreed rate) is nice but not expected like it is at a restaurant. I tip if I feel the provider has gone above and beyond in their service, but it's usually something small (around 10% of whatever I paid).

Forgot to add, if I know beforehand that and attendant is into wine or weed, I'll usually bring them some of that instead; I feel it usually goes more appreciated than a cash tip.

saw the crazy high prices so I checked out the website. Interesting. This place is essentially a massage parlour with a bar and appetizers? If you wanted to, you could just hang out all night and drink? Between sessions is it like a SC where the women talk with you and convince you to choose them to go to the back? An endless cattle call?

Yes and no. The bar is great, nice to sit and have a drink. None of the girls chatted me up for a massage, like you would see in a strip bar. It had a pretty relaxed vibe, no pressure. Mind you, last night was my first time.

The common rate these days is 200$/hr.
Hush says that the split is 140/60 and that is the highest split in the city for the ladies.
At Alpha, the ongoing special rate is 160. I am guessing the split is 120/40 with the club absorbing most if not all the 40$ discount.
As to the tip, I think 50 is pretty generous. I think it depends on the service and how often you are getting these sessions and what you can afford.

I haven’t worked in a spa/club for years now, but girls always appreciate cash tips. Don’t bring them weed or wine (unless they’ve asked you that specifically). Girls can’t pay their bills on wine or weed. Not saying gifts aren’t appreciated but I can assure you that wine or weed is easy enough to come by at those establishments already…Clubs sometimes also charge the girls a cleaning fee or supply fee (like they aren’t making enough of a cut already ) so getting a cash tip really goes a lot farther and will absolutely be much more appreciated. But heck bring the other nice gestures on top of that if you really want to make an impression.
Also, ALWAYS give your MA her tip in person. Don’t give it to someone at reception. Make sure it’s going to the girl you intended it for.

Agree with what was said, give the tip to the girl, not reception. As for the amount, I usually plan on tipping the house cut at a minimum. If you are not sure what it is as every place is different, ask the girl. She will appreciate the effort.

I'm poor as shit and so I hobby like...once a year accordingly. Actually I'm super poor right now, so maybe it's been longer. Priorities, y'know? Anyways, I once had a girl at Alpha ask me "So, are you gonna tip me?" right after I paid her. Luckily this was post-massage, so I just said "Yeah um, that's a negative" and left.

I hate tipping man. I just wish whatever the person needs to make a living is the fee they post at the door. Like if it's 160/hr, 200/hr, post that and let me decide if I can afford that or not. Tipping for service? What if I had the most mind blowing appointment ever? Should I pull out an extra 100 dollar bill now? Too complicated.

Anyways, I never tip. Maybe some of the girls hate me. I just see a different one every time. YOLO!
