We're talking about the whole fucking system. Guy should have been in jail longer. He was fucking blazing down Avenue Rd drunk. I remember this clearly because he was going so fast the jeep was split into two. It was amazing he walked away without a scratch and the other guy died instantly.

Canada’s legal system and pathetic feckless judges ... goes as easy on offenders as possible (especially if ur family has money) while pissing on the victims and law abiding citizens.
I’m surprised they convicted Van Killer, the judge granting him a 6mo house arrest and an all paid vacation to Hawai would have been more in line with our track record.

This case was particularly egregious to me. She killed a man with zero remorse, left him for dead, lied to police about it, and even went to work right after.

6 months house arrest, 6 months 9pm curfew, 100 hrs community service. People have been locked up in prison for far longer for only selling dope or counterfeit DVDs.

His initial charge was a drunk driving offence

I can argue the passenger of his car was just as liable (and stupid) because he got into the drunk drivers car and did not put on a seatbelt

Its not like they ran a pedestrian over; he killed his passenger while drunk driving


I think the prison term for what happened was more than enough
