Gun club in Toronto

I was so upset when Hart House decided to close their range a couple of years ago... Apparently a perfect safety record over 88 years wasn't enough to protect it from the hyper-politically-correct morons who made the decision.

Anyways, I could rant about this for hours, but I think this picture sums up my own position pretty well:

I think the Oshawa shooting range has trap, though no restricted. The Peterborough Fish and Game Club has an indoor and outdoor range, trap, etc. Though it's a tad far from Toronto. I think Miller closed down the ranges in Toronto, causing more people to be out of work. What a great idea during a recession. Fucking idiot.

Target Sports is an indoor facility. Silverdale is a good outdoor facility. I pay $20.00 as a non-member on weekends. I don't do trap shooting but I can attest that the people are friendly and that it is a no bullshit type club.

I used to live in Texas. At the Walmart there, the beer aisle and ammo aisle were right next to eachother.

Members must take a range safety course and as such can supervise an unlicensed shooter - no safety course required for the unlicensed shooter. Alternatively, one of the staff can supervise but it is best to call ahead to make sure someone is available. I'm not sure if a licensed non-member can supervise an unlicensed shooter. I will guess that they can as long as they have taken a range safety course at another range.

Somehow I don't even think you can find one of these outside of Toronto (at least not with the selection I had to choose from in Atlanta)

I think there's a place somewhere around Hamilton as a friend of mine enjoys shooting trap. I just can't remember where he said he shoots.

The govt makes it hard for us to shoot guns, not out of safety but because they dont like its citizens to own firearms period. Thats why that stupid FAC course takes so long (I remember very little of it btw)

Anyone know where there is a 100m range? I want to practise rifle shooting but I only know of military ranges that have 100m. Target sports is only 25m...
