This video bothers me to no end, but to be honest with myself I can't pass judgement against any of these people. Much of what we do as Westerners is repulsive to someone somewhere on earth. I hope the animals are slain humanely.

Whats the big deal? If you were a Hindu or Jew and saw a video of slaughterhouses for cows and pigs, would you not have the same reaction. It all depends on where you are looking at the situation from. Here in the western world, yes it may seem a bit barbaric as Petzel states above but if you are from the eastern world, it is quite commonplace.

The eastern world, specifically Hindu's, would be shocked by the West's treatment and eating of the sacred cow!!!!

Just because you have certain beliefs and traditions, it does not mean that the rest of the world shares your views. Open your minds a little bit as the world does not rotate around the western world.

Ya the average cost of owning a dog is around 30K for the duration of its life. So these civilized people would rather spend that money to have a "pet" yet something like 1/4 of the earth's human population goes to bed hungry. And you say the west is civilized eh?
